RE: Keratoconus and Astigmatism

Here are my answers in italic ; I have read your instructions carefully as well as the book of T.Quackenbush ,I started doing the exercises this year unfortunately due to some problems but the result when doing the exercises is eyestrain or pain .Especially with the swing and the sway. Please state the problems? Do the practice relaxed. Not as exercises. Sounds like you are trying, using effort. See the long swing here; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TxRQ2Y-7nCM With centralization I shift slowly from on small part to the other of an object (not looking more than 1-2 sec) but again.. eyestrain Don’t time it. Just move naturally part to part. Easy, effortless. Central fixation will occur on its own. Just do shifting for now. Try just looking at the object with interest. Not as an exercise to shift. I try to count pictures, trees or cars as I walk along the street but it does not help. Then don’t do it. I never do that practice. Just do nothing sometimes. Practice shifting, then do nothing. Let the eyes-vision work on its own. I will explain you how I do it. I look for ex. to different parts of the car before going to the next one.Or sometimes I look to a small part of it and then I move to the next car seeing a small part of it again. I also move the head. the result is eyestrain. Just let the vision move anywhere on the object. Do a few shifts on one car, then another few shifts on the next car. Vision becomes clear when you just look at things you enjoy looking at. I think you are trying too hard. Practice shifting, then don’t practice; just let it occur naturally. If a object is blurry; blink and shift. The more quickly I move my eyes to different parts of an object the greater the eyestrain. Let the eyes move at their own pace. Many of those fast shifts are automatic and microscopic. The nerves in the retina vibrating, a healthy frequency. This happens subconsciously, on its own when you relax and just go about your day. • Should I do the sway or the swing with each eye separately? I have watched a video of yours and you do it with both eyes. Should I try closer distances? I like doing the sway with both eyes to keep them working together. You could try doing it with one eye at a time and see if it helps the astigmatism... Keep the eye moving with the head, body. But don't try to move it. This is another thing that happens automatically; swing left; the eyes go with the head, body. • You had told me that it is good to read fine print. How can I do it? I try to read and I am staring.I feel eyestrain. Just shift on the blurry print. Think of something happy, fun. Let the mind drift to pleasant things. Close the eyes. Open; see the print flash clear. Read, then close. Open, read. With practice the print stays clear. Close before strain or blur occurs. Look to the far. How the blind girl found her sight? How could she do the exercises without vision? Relaxed and shift on the blur without effort. Don’t think about the eyes or clarity. Just put the mind on something happy. Do that switching close and far 5 min day. And do it up close on the correct vision habits card 1-2 minutes day; http://cleareyesight-batesmethod.info/id23.html http://cleareyesight-batesmethod.info/id35.html What can I be doing wrong that produces eyestrain while doing the exercises? I am not staring. I try to move the head as well when I do the exercises. What would you advise me from your experience? I feel so desparate again. I am not wearing glasses or contact lenses but my eyesight is still getting worse. I have a lot of stress. Stress can definitely tense the muscles, mind and affect the vision. Call or Skype me if you like to discuss. But what am I doing wrong?? I cannot understand… I remindyou I have Keratoconus in my right eye and astigmatism to the left. I am glad you are not wearing glasses. Have you checked your head, neck posture? Tilting, twisting the head, neck, body can cause astigmatism.
