Hi Rose,

Just want to let ya know I have not forgotten about doing a reading fine print directions video for you. Am still busy working on a book to get to publisher. And my bench broke; want to have a nice place to sit to read the fine and microscopic print relaxed. Now only outside bench in reach of webcam is very uncomfortable.

As mentioned previously; am going to merge it with a big fine print video have been working on last year.

Your questions will make it a lot better, I will show each step; distances to start at, lighting, seeing the white glow, sweeping left and right across the sentences, closing eyes and using memory imagination. Using one eye at a time on the print...

This helps, thanks for asking. Sometimes I miss what people really want to hear. Appreciate your input. Post questions you want answered in the video here.

Mary

To see eyecharts clear. Same method works for close fine print-reading vision;

One of the ways the eyes-brain see is by contrast of white-black and other colors, light-dark, shadows, texture... It relaxes the mind and eyes. Relaxation brings clarity. Look at the white page, then at the white spaces between sentences, white area around and inside letters and words. (pg. 144, 326 in new book) Then look at the black letters. Look at the black edges of the letters, then at the white page near the letter's edge. The white area closest to the black edge appears brighter, whiter, it glows. Move back and forth from the white areas to the black letters. Shift this way along the letters on the eyechart. The white glow on the page near the edge of the bottom of each black letter combines to create a thin bright glowing white line under sentences. The bright white line also appears along the top edge of the sentence. Look at the white line, then the letters, line, letters... Blink. The glow is a natural illusion. The white relaxes the mind and eyes because its a blank area, prevents the incorrect habit of squinting, using effort to see. White also activates the retina, its cones, rods; as light does. Relaxation from the white, contrast and the activation by 'light' is carried over to the black print. The letters are dark black and clear; look at and read the words nice and easy. Blink, relax, move freely. A entire eyechart can be read in seconds. Looking back and forth on the white areas and black letters keeps the eyes-vision moving. This prevents staring, tension. Movement maintains relaxation and clarity. Note the chart is perfectly clear when glancing at it without thinking to 'test' the sight; when relaxed deeply, or active running around the house, yard and you suddenly look at the chart without planning to. It is seen clear because there is no feeling of a test to pass, no pressure to be perfect, so no nervousness. Just relaxed, moving vision. Blink and shift.

Reading fine print video still in the works. Will be posted with a new mini pdf.

Mary
